If you’ve never been to Perry’s Drag Brunch in Adams Morgan, get on over there! You are missing one of D.C.’s favorite quirky traditions!

Perry’s is known in D.C. as a sushi restaurant with an outstanding rooftop terrace. But every Sunday, the restaurant takes on a new persona (not unlike the drag queens) at Perry’s Drag Brunch! It’s held every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for the early birds, and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. for those looking to get their Sunday “zzzs.”  If you’ve ever been to see a drag queen show, then you know what to expect: a raucous, raunchy, and entertaining musical act of the most colorful kind! Bonus: if you’re celebrating a special occasion, the drag queens will be sure to show the guest of honor some extra special attention! (Wink, wink)

What You Need to Know

Perry’s is located at 1811 Columbia Rd. NW in Adams Morgan. Parking is a little tricky, as street parking is limited. There is a parking lot adjacent to the right hand side of the building that charges $20 per car, but that pricing can change from time to time. There’s also a Colonial Parking lot about a block away on 18th Street NW.

Reservations for the Perry’s Drag Brunch are strongly encouraged, especially for parties of four or more! The brunch is wildly popular and fills up fast! Reservations can be made by calling 202.234.6218 Monday through Saturday between the hours of 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. OR emailing PerrysDragBrunch@gmail.com Monday through Friday for a response within 48 hours (remember to include your phone number and reservation request). Same day availability for brunch on Sunday may be made by phone only.

Bar seating can be reserved, and Perry’s vows that it’s an equally perfect place to enjoy the show! There are 16 bar seats available and you’ll enjoy one of the better views of the dining room, as all the queens walk by the bar.

There is no minimum age requirement at Perry’s — that’s up to you if you want to bring your kids — but just know that there may be extreme language, risqué costumes, and suggestive behavior.

The cost of the buffet and entertainment is $25.95, but that price does not include beverages, tax, or gratuity. A 20 percent gratuity will be applied to parties of five or more.

What’s on the Menu

The buffet varies week-to-week and typically offers six fresh house-made salads, assorted bread, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, assorted cuts of meat, fruit, pastries, and more. There are usually two signature cocktails available for purchase, by the glass or pitcher:

Perry’s will let you bring your own cake, but they do charge a $2.50 plating fee per guest.
