2019 can be your year for making new friends at this great FREE event for young professionals! Meet people from your home state or region at this mixer — It’s time to put yourself out there!
It can be hard to meet people once you’re out of school. Everyone is tied to their phones, and you have no idea if anyone is even single. The event planners at Things to Do D.C. want to help you make new friends at this Home State Mixer.
WHEN: Thursday, January 10, 2019 | 7-10 p.m.
WHERE: Rewind | 1219 Connecticut Avenue NW in Washington, D.C.
TICKETS: FREE, but register online for the event headcount
Upon arrival, you’ll be given a name tag on which to write your name and home state. Then, simply mingle and meet people! You can chat about common college buddies, argue about the best pizzas in town, or simply meet people from all over the country. The best part about the mixer (other than its price tag) is that everyone is there for the same purpose — to make new friends and network.
Casual attire is fine, but do try to look your best. You never know who you’ll meet!
About the venue
Rewind by Decades is a cool upscale bar, club, and restaurant that serves diner classics. The mixer will be held in a private room, but you’ll be able to order from the extensive menu if you decide to get dinner.
The closest Metro stop is Dupont Circle, approximately two blocks away. Street parking in the area is very limited, so get a ride in or take public transportation. If you simply MUST drive, there are two Colonial parking garages on nearby N Street.
